Emmaus will be meeting this Tuesday evening at
7:30pm in the Parish Hall of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. We will
be continuing our Bible Study called "Praying with the Creed" by Fr.
Benedict Groeschel, CFR!
Light refreshments will be provided.

Girls, consider attending the Mercedarian
Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament Women's Discernment Retreat this weekend from
May 6th to May 7th. Join Sr. Jeanette and Sr. for an
overnight retreat at the Marywood Retreat House. There will be much time for silence and time for prayer,
with a few talks and a panel mixed in. Beginning 10am Saturday, May 6 and
ending 2pm, Sunday, May 7, this retreat is aimed at those discerning a vocation
or just making a big life decision. The cost is $15, but if money is an obstacle

Also, Emmaus has been asked to volunteer at the Woman's Help Center Gala on Thursday May 11th at the Regency
Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Jacksonville. Our guest speaker is Dinesh D'Souza, the
film writer and director of Hilary's America and Obama's
America.

All volunteers will be permitted to hear the talk given by Mr. D'Souza
and enjoy the 3 course dinner provided by the Hyatt at no cost. We ask that volunteers arrive on the 2nd floor between 5:15pm and
5:30pm to begin taking the names of guests. We are
looking to seat over 900 people :). If you can assist with the VIP reception please arrive on the 3rd
floor at 5:00pm for instructions on how to accommodate guests :).
